BNM was incorporated in 1957 by Sydney Frish and Otto Ekstein. The company’s operations began with contracts to supply pharmaceuticals and hospital products to Australian State Health Departments.
Following an opportunity to supply to the Department of Health in Papua New Guinea in 1964, BNM expanded its presence to the South Pacific Island market. BNM has since established itself in the South Pacific Island region as a trusted supplier of high quality products. In the Australian and New Zealand pharmaceutical markets, early registrations of Primacin®, imipramine tables and tetracycline eye ointment, set a strong foundation for BNM to strategically develop its portfolio in a rapidly changing market.
In 2015, BNM was acquired by ADVANZ PHARMA, a global pharmaceutical company with an impressive heritage and experience in supplying over 90 countries with more than 200 medicines. As an ADVANZ PHARMA company, BNM strives to go beyond the fulfilment of orders for medicines and medical products, to be a trusted and respected partner.

Abdul has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1991, including both the public and private sectors. Abdul joined the business in 2001 and as the Business Development Director for BNM until 2019, oversaw the growth of BNM’s product portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. Other than business development, Abdul has been involved in identifying and developing strategic partnerships in order to capitalise on BNM’s core competencies and help deliver the required commercial outcomes. Through his long experience, Abdul has extensive knowledge and understanding of the various enabling functions critical to the performance of the modern day pharmaceutical supply chain.

Daimion joined ADVANZ PHARMA in June 2020 as Commercial Director. With almost 20 years of specialist sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Daimion is responsible for delivering our sales objectives, planning and executing our new product launches and supporting business development activities through his extensive network and relationships across the industry.
Senior Business Development Manager
Howe has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 2013 with some reputable names across both the generics and speciality pharmaceutical spaces. He comes from a commercial analyst background with strong financial planning and an analytical mindset, holding the formal qualifications Master of Accounting and MBA. Howe is responsible for exploring and executing new business opportunities to help sustain and grow the business in Australia and New Zealand.
